I love flowers. Flowers play a vital role in the continuity of nature and yet are ephemeral. I take my own photos of flowers, this allows me total control of the whole process of seeing the composition, cropping the photo, enlarging it etc. in order to paint them. I know what I like and what I am looking for when I am taking pictures. My friends and husband know I stop for flowers everywhere and have taken many pictures of flowers in my friend’s gardens. I love the colors, textures, and patterns in nature. I love the graceful lines of flowers, the way they grow in space. They have a presence. As Henry Beecher Ward said, “Flowers are the sweetest things God ever made and forgot to put a soul into.” There is beauty and function in a flower.
My art has been in many exhibitions, shows and competitions, most of them online. I have recieved a number of awards for my work. I have put an asterisk (*) if the painting has been in an exhibit and/or recieved recognition. I will let you know at the time of purchase which exhibit and award it is.

My paintings are offered for sale for as Giclee Prints which are high quality archival digital prints. They are printed on watercolor paper which gives them the most true image of the original painting.
Giclee prints make the art more affordable which I like as I want people to have lots of color, art, craft, and creativity in their homes.
