Welcome!
I’m a long time Chico local, and very excited to share my art with you!
I grew up visiting Open Studios and I feel incredibly grateful for the opportunity to be on the tour as an artist for the second year in a row!
Much of my art explores the human connection to a sense of place through repetition and color.
I’ve held a deep love for maps and instruction manuals since I was little. Fascinated by how things work and how cities are structured, I spent much of childhood drawing imaginary cities and diagrams. I continued studying drawing in high school and explored various mediums at Chico State including wood and fabric sculpture, and arc welding. I graduated Chico State with a BA in Visual Communications (Graphic Design) and a minor in Small Business Entrepreneurship. I love to draw cartoons in my spare time and my most recent public art project was painting a newspaper stand for the Chico News and Review.
My most recent collection is about expanding on my love of maps and combining it with 3D space, in a hope to map human interactions and feelings in a sense of place.
I’ve also found a passion for printmaking and painting. I paint with acrylic and then hand draw with gel pens. In the case of printmaking, I carve out my designs on a rubber block, hand mix the color(s), and then apply the ink with a roller, pressing paper into the block for a finished print. Colors are custom mixed and unique each time.
Come by and say hi!
