Trivedi Artist Statement
In 2020, Kevin Trivedi received multiple organ transplants. He altered his signature into the Symbol of Trivedi to celebrate the gift of life and his generous donor.
Trivedi experienced transformation, which elevated his signature into the letter “T” with the Vedic markings. Now it represents a torch of eternal life to protect creativity and art.
Kevin Trivedi creates art to challenge the paradigm. His every brushstroke or mark on a surface, calls us to the enchantment of everyday life.
Trivedi’s artistic journey flowed from a Bachelor’s degree from the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, Michigan, to serving as one of the last apprentices to famed Carmel painter Roberto Lupetti (who assisted with restoring the Sistine Chapel.) and a Master’s degree at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.
The artist incorporates elements of Fauvism, color theory, and surface textures in his unique work. His influences range from Renaissance artists to contemporary artists and illustrators.
Trivedi has exhibited in the Sacramento region from 2005 to 2023. He taught at the Art Institute Sacramento, the International Academy of Design & Technology Sacramento, and Sierra College in Rocklin, California.
